Tadas Zaicikas (artist name TedyZet) was born in Lithuania in 1974. Influenced by neo-expressionism, street art, and graffiti, he has developed a distinctive artistic movement—Expressive Narrative Abstraction. His work blends vibrant abstraction with narrative-driven imagery, featuring bold colors, exaggerated features, and dynamic brushstrokes, with animals and flowers as central figures. Each piece is an emotional and visual journey, enriched by the seamless integration of his own poetry, inviting viewers to connect on a deeper level. Zaicikas' movement, Expressive Narrative Abstraction, bridges abstract expressionism with storytelling, transforming each painting into a raw, expressive, and poetic composition. His work is alive with energy, spontaneity, and emotion, while the poetic elements add layers of meaning, making each viewer’s interpretation unique. In this series, flowers take center stage, embodying both the wild spirit of nature and the delicate vibrancy of life. His floral compositions explode with color and movement, turning nature’s beauty into a bold artistic statement. Whether through his expressive animal paintings or dynamic florals, Zaicikas’ art is a celebration of life, emotion, and artistic freedom. Working across both traditional and digital media, Zaicikas continues to push artistic boundaries. His traditional works incorporate oil pastels, acrylic, spray paint, charcoal, ink, and gloss varnish on canvas, creating richly textured surfaces that amplify their expressive impact. Alongside his paintings, he continues to create digital-hand drawings, further exploring movement, composition, and color in his artistic practice. Zaicikas obtained his Master’s degree in 1996 from Kaunas University of Technology (Kaunas, Lithuania). After relocating to Canada, he returned to art full-time, developing his distinct voice in the contemporary art world. He currently lives and works in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Since 2017, he has been a member of La Maison des Artistes, the Professional Artists of France. Exhibiting internationally, Zaicikas' work has been featured in prestigious art fairs, salons, and gallery shows worldwide, including Paris, Miami, New York, and Tokyo. Whether on canvas or in digital form, he continues to push the boundaries of artistic storytelling, transforming each piece into a multi-layered exploration of color, form, and narrative.
